It is important to note, however, that God Almighty is for all. Be you a Muslim,Christian or a Pagan...even if you are an Atheist and decided to call upon Him today,He shall still consider granting his/her wish! That's because He is Arrahman...the Most Beneficient God.
Therefore, believing He is the only One that's worth worship is no criteria for answering of prayers. However,it makes a great deal of difference as you'll soon find out.
As a Muslim, the following steps are of great essence should you desire quick response to your prayers:
Believe in His Oneness and act accordingly
To believe in His Oneness is to believe that none is worth worship other than Him,it is to believe that He is the Supreme Creator Who has adequate sustainance for all...especially us and finally,it is to believe in His numerous attributes.
Now,to work or act according to these beliefs is to postrate your face to NO ONE for no reason whatsoever! It also means that you MUST NOT seek for help from none other than the Almighty. Therefore, you must learn of the dos and don'ts of God. Stick to the dos and distant yourself from the don'ts. If you do,you identify with Him and He with you...guess how??? By answering your prayers very quickly of course!
Show Kindness to All and Sundry and Other Creatures.
The Prophet has been reported to have said that:
"Show mercy to whatever is on earth and you shall receive mercy from the Heavens"
The above hadith says it all...do as you want others to do to you. When a beggar comes across your path for instance and you got nothing to offer or you do have but you are not ready to give,do not ignore him/her but humbly dismiss him/her by bowing your head with a little wave of the hand and walk away gently.
Whenever you want to say or do something even to animals, take a moment to ask yourself,if someone does or say (as the case may be) this to me,how would I take it,would I be happy and grateful or would I be sad and withdrawn, does the person deserve it,even when he does, would you want to be treated the way you are about to treat him/her???
The moment you are through with answering this questions fairly, you can go ahead and act according to your verdict. This to a very high extent, tells how much favor you get and how quickly. Your good deeds are like life lines and credits with which you live life through. Hence, seize every opportunity to garner as much of them as you can.
Call upon Your Lord with High Hopes and Fear
Ensure your body, soul, clothes and place of worship is clean and free from all forms of impurities and dirts. Get a kettle of clean water that's not contaminated by pure stuffs like milk, honey or oil.
Perform your abulution and at least 2 raka'a of nofila. In every sujud, after chanting the normal stuff that's meant for that position, make your wish in prayer to God. This is the very best method of seeking help. According to the Prophet,we are closest to God when we are on sujud! After the tesleem (salama),Glorify your Lord, ask for forgiveness, show gratitude for past favors before asking for new ones.It is highly recommended that you begin with a lot of assalatu and end it in the same manner. The most recommended time for special requests is 3 am in the morning and remember, continuity of your prayers till you are answered and even afterwards works like magic.
Be a Charitable Giver!
When you pray and you are able to give something in charity afterwards hastens response...talking from experience here!
A possible reason for this could be as the result of the prayer the receiver of your charity shall make on your behalf for he would do it out of love. The Prophet has made it clear that prayers that is made by loved ones is accepted guaranteed. Since you have become the loved one of the receiver of your charity,his/her prayer over you would be accepted for sure!
One more thing...to make things extremely easy for you, pick a Name from Among His Names,or a statement from among the recommended prayers of the prophet or a verse or a chapter of the Quran and pray with it consistently, whether you have a request or not, ensure you pray regularly with the adhkar..."Remember Him often with the adhkar and He would remeber you too ..remember Him when things are easy so that he remember you when it goes tough!!! According to the Prophet, your adhkar doesn't have to be lengthy, just ensure it is regular! The most loved deed in the sight of God is Which that is regular even if it is small says the Prophet!
Follow the above steps, and experience a lot difference in your prayer life! Stay Blessed....
Salaam!
