The Social Responsibilities of a Muslim

Considering the negative light in which Muslims all over the world are seen, it is imperative for me to say a word or two about the truth about the Islamic social life that every Muslim is expected to inculcate.
If you are a Muslim, please check out the following qualities to know what you are doing right or wrong. If you are non - Muslim consider this an opportunity to know what Islam says about socialization so that you'll be able to discern when a guy is acting Islamically or otherwise.
There are so many responsibilities and conditions to be met as a Muslim. I shall discuss just 3 major ones here.

Be Good To Your Parents
Parents are the first sets of people you are compelled to love, respect and care for. Common sense warrants that we care for parents. But, as you should know, common sense is not common. God Knows that and have, therefore, deemed it fit to make a compulsory obligation in Islam that we cater for our parents. We are expected to do that so well that if we could treat them like babies who are never wrong and always right, we should. Don't forget, babies are loved unconditionally, so should our parents be loved. EVEN IF THEY DIDN'T CATER FOR YOU!

Be Good To Your Neighbors
Please, note that when we talk about neighbors, we are talking of every living being around you including animals. Yes, we are can be more specific by saying all human beings that live within 40 block radius from your home. You bear the responsibility as a Muslim to see to their welfare. The only thing is that you may not worship are carry lout any religious activity that's alien to Islam with anyone... NOT EVEN YOUR PARENTS!

Be Good to the Poor and Visit the Sick...Be Charitable.
The Bokos, arguably, emanated from the Almajiri system of education. They were sent out by their parents to learn the Quran. But, some how, they end up in the streets. Initially, it was a system that was well catered for, but, now, it has become an eye sore and embarrassment to Muslims up North.
If only we Muslims have been responsible enough...if only we have been generous enough, we might not have the Boko Haram as we do today!
It's a big sin to live large in the midst of the Poor. One must share...this does not involve only the Rich...the Common man out there too can be charitable and help reform the society...even if it is with a smile! You MUST be charitable if you must retain your Believer status!

Salaam!
